Safer Births, Working Together

Every mother deserves a safe birth, no matter where she lives. The Beautiful Births Foundation offers training to Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs) in remote communities with lifesaving skills, resources, and support — helping them provide safer care for mothers and babies who cannot reach hospitals. Or to those who choose TBAs for cultural reasons. 

As a midwife of 25 years I have seen life saving techniques which cost no money. If the traditional birth attendants have these skills many women could be saved. No woman or baby should die unnecessarily. Sharing knowledge can save a life.
